School Announcements
SENIOR CLASS MEETING- MANDATORY
There is a mandatory senior meeting on Friday, April 24, 2015, from 1:15-3:15 p.m. in the multi-purpose room.   The purpose of the meeting is to inform students of graduation details, sign up for seating, receive contracts, pick up graduation supplies that were previously ordered, and to complete the graduation survey.   All bills must be paid, maintain positive attendance, follow school rules, and pass classes in order to walk in the ceremony.

SAT testing
If you are not able to take the May administration of the exam, you can take the exam on June 6, 2015. The registration deadline for the June administration of the exam is May 8, 2015 at www.collegeboard.orgthe same Internet location.

LATE TESTING DATES:   May 20-22, 2015
Students who signed up for the AP exams in May must come to a pre-Administration session. During this session we will pre-id  your test packets ahead of time, which should take 45 minutes off of the actual AP exam. If you have any questions stop by the counseling office.

ACT Exam
To register, go to:  www.actstudent.org or talk with your counselor.  The next opportunity to take the exam this school year will be Saturday, June 13, 2015; deadline to register is May 8, 2015.

Thunderbird Summer Basketball Camp (Coed)
The Las Plumas High School boys basketball coaching staff is pleased to announce its annual Thunderbird Summer Basketball Camp.  Our camp is committed to the development of basic fundamental skills.  Campers will also be taught the importance of maintaining a positive attitude on and off the court. We take pride in teaching skills, sportsmanship, and team concepts.  This is a coed event, girls are welcome to participate.
 
4th, 5th and 6th graders           June 22nd thru June 26th       9am to 12pm (East Gym)
7th, 8th and 9th graders           June 22nd thru June 26th        9am to 12pm (West Gym)
 
The camps will be held in both Las Plumas High School Gyms.  Each participant will receive a basketball, camp T-shirt, a chance to win prizes, plenty of coaching, exercise, and fun.  The cost of the camp is $50. You can pre-register by downloading a copy of the registration form here. http://lphs.ouhsd.org.  You can also register on the day of the camp.

Information on Athletics
Sports Physicals are being given at Las Plumas High School on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, from 7:00-8:30 p.m.    These physicals are at no charge and are valid for the 15-16 school year for athletes.  Be sure to pick up the blue colored Physical Exam form from the lobby in the Principal's Office before May 13, 2015.

SATURDAY SCHOOL SCHEDULE
SATURDAY SCHOOL SCHEDULE 2014-2015:
Students who have unexcused absences are urged to attend Saturday School.  Each Saturday School attended makes up for one (1) unexcused absence.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
  • You can sign up in the attendance office and drop-ins are also welcome.
  • Saturday School is from 8-12 and you must serve the entire session
  • You must bring school assignments to work on
  • Meet at the quad entrance nearest attendance office at 7:55
  • Snacks are provided:  full rate- $2.00; Reduced- .30 cents; or Free

DATES:     April 18; May 2; and May 16

Clearing Absences
To clear a student absence, please call 538-2310 Ext. 2208.  Please leave student name, parent name, reason for absence and phone number (for contact purposes).
